Connie and Jenny are the co-founders and creative minds behind astrid & miyu. They met at London Business School while on a break from their investment banking careers in New York and Hong Kong, respectively.
They instantly clicked when they met in London in 2009, sharing the same passion for fashion. During their numerous shopping adventures together, they could easily spot designer clothes, bags and shoes that satisfied their needs. However, it was difficult for them to find jewellery that satiated their tastes in terms of design, quality and price points. While doing some market research, they realised that many other consumers had the same problem.
By trying to solve personal shopping pains, astrid & miyu was born. Connie and Jenny are constantly on a hunt for unique and quality yet wearable design mixing different materials in unexpected ways.
Connie worked as an independent consultant for a heritage British fashion brand as well as a French luxury conglomerate, and Jenny worked as an independent consultant for a British beauty brand prior to founding astrid & miyu.
Jenny was born in Moscow and grew up in Chicago, Washington D.C. and New York. Connie was born in Seoul and grew up in Washington D.C., Seattle and Hong Kong.
