As most of our pieces are costume jewellery made from sterling silver or brass, plated with 18ct rose gold, 18ct gold and rhodium, they need special looking after for you to enjoy the beauty for a longer period of time. Here’s a list of tips for you on how to care for your Astrid & Miyu jewellery.
Avoid water: Do not place next to heater, window, air conditioner or in the bathroom. Do not wear in the pool.
Avoid sweat: Remove jewellery when exercising, or any other demanding physical work, as sweating causes the jewellery to tarnish.
Storing in our original boxes or pouches is the best way to keep your jewellery. A zip plastic bag is a great alternative if no longer have the packaging.
Avoid cosmetics: Apply scents or cosmetics before you put on your jewellery. Perfumes and lotions will tarnish the jewellery.
Cartilage Hoops are our latest collection launch and we have a step by step guide to wearing these teeny-tiny hoops!
Unclip the cartilage hoop.
Feed the thinner half of the earring through your piercing.
Bring the clasp up and push down - clicker.
Sizes will vary in diameter from the clicker to the huggie to the conch hoop.

Lovely but too small for her piercing
This is a beautiful earring but check your measurements as suggested in the information - we didn’t and the earring is too small to fit in her piercing. An expensive mistake! Will have to wait until she has another piercing to be able to wear it
