Constellation Piercing
Blending our love of all things zodiac and all things celestial, a constellation piercing is the ultimate ear curation for mystic jewellery lovers. Discover the different constellation designs you can get, and which piercings you should add to your ear stack to achieve them.
What is a Constellation Piercing?
A constellation piercing is not one specific piercing, but a unique cluster of multiple ear piercings designed to look like the starry night sky. While some curations mimic real zodiac constellations, others simply take inspiration from their asymmetric and geometric patterns.
Find your Zodiac Constellation
Each Zodiac sign has a unique constellation that can be seen in the night sky from Earth. Whether you choose to recreate your own birth sign or simply pick another pattern you love, a zodiac constellation piercing is the ultimate meaningful expression. And, because every zodiac sign features a completely different arrangement of stars, these cosmic maps are a great example of how constellation piercings can be adapted for both minimal and maximal aesthetics.
What's the best jewellery for Constellation Piercings?
Constellation Piercings are where stud earrings really shine, as the dainty and delicate silhouettes make celestial patterns easy to spot. We’d choose crystal and diamond styles for our ear stack, to perfectly recreate the glittering effect of a starry night sky.
Chain stud earrings and mixed metal pairings also work well in a celestial curation. Think, dainty, minimalistic dangles to capture the magic of a shooting star, and dual tones to mimic stars closer and further away.

Turn your existing piercings into a Constellation Piercing
If you’re just hearing about Constellation Piercings, but you’ve already started curating your ear stack, don’t panic. Building a constellation piercing doesn’t mean you have to wipe the slate clean and start from scratch. Having a few piercings actually gives you a head start!
Here are the piercing placements you should add to your piercing wishlist to transition your current ear stack into a sparkling cosmic constellation:

How do I look after my piercings?
To make sure your piercings heal properly, you’ll need to give them some love and care along the way. Healing time will vary person to person, but here are our top tips for a smooth aftercare process:
-
Clean your piercing with PierceMed Aftercare Solution twice a day until it is fully healed. You should do this for a minimum of 2-3 months for lobes and 6-12 months for cartilage. Spray the front and back of your piercing and dry the area with a clean paper towel afterwards.
-
Outside of cleaning, try to avoid touching your piercing, and when you have to, always wash your hands.
-
Try to avoid sleeping on your piercing, as this can cause irritation or migration.
-
Have your piercing jewellery downsized after around 6 weeks, once the initial swelling has subsided. This will help the rest of the healing process go smoothly.
-
Book in for a Piercing Aftercare & Curation appointment to chat to your piercer about any concerns and start planning your next piercing.
-
Wait until your piercing has fully healed before changing the jewellery.
