Nobody stacks like you

Our Community Campaign Stars

Back to articles

After a viral casting call, we invited 20 members of our community to star in our latest campaign. From first piercings to twenty-fifth piercings, they all have one thing in common: it’s not just jewellery, but a form of self-expression.

Read on to hear the meaningful stories behind our community’s ear stacks - from running marathons in Astrid & Miyu to expressing themselves while in uniform, and discovering that piercing really is for everybody.

The Styling Sessions

We believe nobody stacks quite like you. That’s why every single look in our community campaign was completely styled by the people wearing them. We invited our biggest fans into our flagship store to curate their dream stacks with zero limitations - a heartfelt thank you for letting us be a part of their journey over the years.

The first to try the Ear Story Chain®
Each cast member chose new pieces for their lobes and piercing placements, with a lucky few being the first to try out our new Ear Story Chains.

Meet the people behind the piercings

Sofia

To Sofia, jewellery means feeling dressed at all times and she doesn’t believe in saving things for special occasions. Sofia will wear her best pieces to pick up her three children from school and doesn’t mind who sees. From begging her mum for her first piercing as a little girl in Greece, to now being asked by her own 7-year-old daughter when it’ll be her turn, piercing has always been a part of making Sofia feel like Sofia.

“My favourite piercing is my conch piercing. Before getting it I was concerned about being able to wear my Airpods, so when I spotted people in the street with the piercing I would stop them to ask about their experience.”

Shivani

From rewarding herself with a piercing after her first 10k race to completing the London Marathon in a full stack, Shivani’s piercing journey has always had her feeling her best on race day. More than just looking great in the photos, Shivani’s piercings are a symbol of strength that help her get through the tough moments.

“My first helix piercing was a birthday present from my friends at school. They all pitched in to help me get it, and I loved it so much I went back the next day to get another one!”

Sabine

As a Midwife, Sabine spends a lot of time in uniform and adhering to a dresscode. Her job means she can’t wear any bracelets or rings and her hair usually has to be up. Sabine’s 7 piercings are her way of expressing herself while on duty and letting a little bit of her personality shine through to her patients.

“Every piercing is connected to a milestone, whether that’s personal growth, confidence, or different stages of adulthood. What might look small to other people has been a really empowering journey for me.”

Claire

For Claire, a gorgeous mum of two, her jewellery box is a collection of happy memories. Over the years, her husband and teenage boys have gifted her most of her piercings and A&M pieces for birthdays, Christmases, and Mother’s Days - meaning every single layer carries a story she treasures.

“I got my latest piercing on Mother’s Day. We were walking past the store and my son encouraged me to go in, knowing it would be my perfect gift.”

Ashleigh

As an Olympic athlete, Ashleigh’s ear stack is her way of showing off her personality even when she’s wearing the same kit as everybody else. Underneath her bobsled helmet she likes to wear a little bit of bling to represent her sparkling personality.

“This year I raced on my birthday, and when I got back home I treated myself to my helix piercing. I love that at 35 I’m still getting piercings like I was when I was 12, but now I’m so much more sure of who I am.”

Sabrina

Our youngest member of the ear campaign, Sabrina, is just 10 years old and already in love with ear stacking. Adding an ear cuff and a dainty pair of studs to her ear curation makes her feel confident wearing her hearing aids, which are Wicked themed, naturally. Sabrina and her mum flew all the way down from Edinburgh to be a part of our campaign.

Assra

Two years ago, on Assra’s 42nd birthday, her niece pointed out to her that she’d been talking about getting her tragus pierced for almost 10 years. Shocked by the realisation that she’d put it off for so long, Assra went and booked the piercing immediately. Now, she’s up to 14 piercings and counting, with a snug piercing hopefully on the way soon.

“Getting that piercing changed so much more than just my ears. Over the last two years I’ve travelled more, started two new businesses, and become more confident in how I show up in the world.”
