Fine Line Tattoo Inspiration
Read time: 3 minutes
Thinking about a new tattoo but not sure where to start? At A&M, we offer a range of dainty designs to be treasured forever, and relaxed studio spaces where you’ll feel right at home. We might be biased, but we think we’re the perfect place to get inked - especially if it’s your first time.
Our tattoos: Behind the design
Deciding on a tattoo can be tricky, and it’s not a decision to make lightly. That’s why we design feel-good pieces that are made to be meaningful to you. We asked our tattoo designer, Caitlin, to describe our signature style:
"When designing our tattoos I try to use delicate fine lines and soft shapes to allow the designs to compliment the body's natural curves and movement. Where possible, I add in some of our iconic A&M motifs - like the four point star, the arch and the heart - that our customers know and love. The tattoos become a way of expanding your stack even further."

Sentimental Tattoo Ideas
Explore our number and letter tattoos for something truly personal. Choose between 1–6 characters in a full range of fonts, from clean sans styles to flowing cursive.
A special date, a lucky number, or a loved one’s initials. There are so many ways to make it yours. For something longer, like a meaningful message, phrase, or even a loved one’s handwriting, discover our Bespoke Tattoos.
Floral Tattoo Ideas
Discover your birthflower for a meaningful floral tattoo. With delicate lines and flowing stems, these designs are made to stay with you season after season. And if your birthflower doesn’t feel quite right for you, choose one that does (we’re not strict with the rules).

Celestial Tattoo Ideas
If you know A&M, you’ll know we draw plenty of inspiration from the night sky. Our sun, moon, and star motifs are some of our favourites, with plenty of unique designs to choose from. Whether you’re drawn to a delicate constellation or want to proudly celebrate your zodiac, there’s a celestial tattoo for every sign.

Tattoo Aftercare
Your tattoo artist will tell you everything you need to know about taking care of your tattoo at the end of your appointment. But in case you want to get prepared, or if you need a reminder, here is our advice.
-
Keep the second skin on for 3-5 days after your appointment. If you see some ink on the film, that’s completely normal.
-
For the first week after removing the second skin, wash your tattoo twice a day (morning and evening) with a mild, fragrance-free soap, and gently pat dry before applying your aftercare balm.
-
Itching is a very normal part of healing a tattoo. As tattoos only break the very top layer of skin it is likely to itch and flake a little. It’s very important to not pick or scratch at your tattoo.
-
Avoid intense exercise for two weeks. Sweat, tight clothing, and unclean surfaces can cause irritation or infection.
-
We recommend at least 6 weeks before exposing a fresh tattoo to sun/sea/swimming. This is due to the risk of poor healing and infection.
-
It can be up to 6 weeks before your tattoo is fully healed. You will know when this is complete as the tattoo stops being shiny.
