WOMEN MAKING WAVES
International Women’s Day is a day to celebrate sisterhood, success and speaking out against wrong. It is a time for building up those around us and taking stock of the amazing achievements of womankind. The last year has had its trials and tribulations for sure, but for IWD 2021 we want to reflect instead on the glorious gift to our planet that is girl power, and celebrate the day for the whole week!
We are all proving that not only can we take on whatever is thrown at us and triumph, but also that we can come together and salute each other's achievements and successes. We recognise every woman has achieved something great in their own right, overcoming their own obstacles. We’ve put together a list of a few women from all walks of life, that inspire, influence and encourage us everyday. Bring on International Women's Day 2021!
The Women That Inspire Us...
We have partnered with artist Amberlee from Line & Honey to create an exclusive tote bag, featuring an illustration inspired by International Women's Day 2021. Read more about the design here.
We are in awe of women who are able to spot a niche, build a brand and leverage their success to make a genuine difference in the world. Have a read of our run-down of inspiring female-run companies.

Astrid & Miyu International Women's Week 2021 Events
This year, the International Women’s Day 2021 theme is #ChooseToChallenge. We can all choose to challenge ourselves in a small way in our daily lives. Stand up and speak in that meeting, apply for that job and travel around the world (when we’re allowed to again 😉). It might be scary, but harness that fear and turn it into greatness.
Astrid & Miyu have chosen to challenge by offering our very own “Girl Boss” workshops across the entire week. Tune in to find out the top goss on starting your own business with new podcast episode, getting your finances in order, or just all round kicking some corporate butt.
All events are free, with an optional donation to The Prince's Trust.

We’re so excited to announce our charity partnership with The Princes Trust for International Women's Day! The Prince’s Trust is an incredible youth charity that helps young people aged 11 to 30 get into jobs, education and training. Every year they host an annual campaign around IWD with numerous brands including The White Company, Hunza G and Burbery along with A&M who come together to support and celebrate the occasion. So this IWD know that whilst you shop, through your donation you are also committing to changing the lives of young women by helping them gain the skills needed to live, learn and earn.
